Hawaii Renewable Energy Tax Credit

• Established by Act 207, Sessions Laws of Hawaii 2003

All Homes offered are eligible for this program. This is one of 4 properties in the Hawaiian Islands that meet or exceed the HELCO Energy Star Alliance specification and requirements.

In addition to being 100% insulated and dual paned windows, each house has an individual solar hot water heating system.

• Under Hawaii Tax Law, home owners are provided up to $2,250 in Hawaii Tax Credits. Tax credits shall be claimed against net income tax liability for the year of purchase.
• Effective January 1, 2006, federal tax credit of 30% of the original cost of the equipment. Equipment cost - $6,000.00
• Because of the high price of electricity in Hawaii, solar hot water heating will cut 30% to 50% of the typical electric bill. Air conditioning is not needed.
